CommBank, by Commonwealth Bank of Australia, saw its downloads fluctuate, starting the quarter with 20K and ending at 17K. Despite a mid-quarter peak of approximately 22K, the app finished Q1 with a downward trend. Weekly active users showed more stability, ranging from 1.89M to 2M, peaking in late February.
ANZ Australia experienced a similar trend in downloads, with initial figures around 9K, reaching a high of 10K in mid-January, but subsequently falling to 7K by the end of March. Weekly active users increased from 591K to a peak of 625K before declining to 583K.
Westpac commenced the quarter with downloads at 7K, peaking at 8K in early February, and concluded with a downturn to 6K. Although downloads waned, weekly active users grew from 384K to a high of 461K in mid-March, then slightly dipped to 433K.
NAB Mobile Banking showed a consistent number of downloads throughout the quarter, hovering around the 7K to 8K mark, with a minor increase towards late March. The weekly active users exhibited a decline from 701K in early January to 665K at the quarter's end.
Up — Easy Money had the most notable surge in downloads, with a significant spike from 3K to 11K in late February, but this was followed by a drop to 2K by the end of March. Weekly active user figures for Up showed growth from 6K to a peak of 11K, before falling back to 7K.
